It supports children and young people deprived of parental care through the Family Care Program at the Aldeas Infantiles SOS villages. It also implements the Family Strengthening Program so that children, young people and their families of origin can strengthen their protection and care mechanisms.<\/p>\n<p>The aim of all this is for children to reach maturity in a healthy way, growing up with the protection of a family environment and supported by an education that allows them to lead a fully independent life, all of which helps them feel like valued members of society.<\/p>\n<h3>Objectives<\/h3>\n<p>Aldeas Infantiles SOS El Salvador needed a bulk email platform independent of the one they had been using to communicate with all their donors and supporters, since using their own infrastructure prevented them from sending properly.<\/p>\n<p>They faced three main problems: creating and then sending the newsletters was a very long process; the heavy workload on their mail server, caused by the volume of newsletter sends, made it saturate; and many emails failed to reach recipients correctly because they bounced when the destination servers decided they were spam.<\/p>\n<h3>Actions Taken<\/h3>\n<p>Two of the problems Aldeas Infantiles SOS El Salvador had when sending their newsletters were solved immediately when they became <strong><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">Mail<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">relay<\/span><\/strong> customers, since our users need only a few minutes to create newsletters and send them, and their mail server has never been saturated again because both the IPs the emails go out through and the workload generated by bulk newsletter sending fall entirely on <strong><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">Mail<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">relay<\/span><\/strong>&#8216;s servers and infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>Controlling bounces and getting their emails accepted by the destination servers, avoiding rejection as suspected spam, was achieved easily by adjusting the design of their newsletters and using outgoing IPs certified by the major ISPs (Hotmail, Gmail, Yahoo, etc.)<\/p>\n<h3>Results<\/h3>\n<p>The partnership with Aldeas Infantiles SOS El Salvador is allowing this non-governmental organization to keep more direct communication with its donors and partners.<\/p>\n<p>As they tell us from Aldeas Infantiles SOS El Salvador, after starting to send bulk emails with <strong><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">Mail<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">relay<\/span><\/strong>: \u201cEvery now and then we get new donors who want to support the NGO&#8217;s cause, whether because one user forwarded the email to another. We get a good response from our bulk emails and better communication with our donors.<\/p>\n<p>It has undoubtedly improved the way we send our campaigns. Among the benefits <strong><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">Mail<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">relay<\/span><\/strong> has brought us are the integration with Google Analytics and the use of sending filters, among others\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8220;The bulk email service seems excellent to me; it has changed the way I work.
