Investigaci\u00f3n y Desarrollo (ID) is the initiative of the Mexican company Consultor\u00eda en Prensa y Comunicaci\u00f3n, aimed at bringing society up-to-date information on research and developments taking place in Mexico in the fields of science, technology, innovation, health, and the environment. Their audience is so large that they already have 700,000 followers on Facebook.<\/p>\n
Since 1992 they have published the Investigaci\u00f3n y Desarrollo supplement, a monthly informative publication inserted into the newspaper \u201cLa Jornada\u201d on the last Thursday of each month.<\/p>\n
In 2009 they launched Agencia ID, a news agency covering science, technology, and innovation in Mexico, which produces and sends a news item to both print and electronic media outlets on a daily basis.<\/p>\n
On their website, www.invdes.com.mx, you can find both the articles from the Investigaci\u00f3n y Desarrollo supplement and the news from Agencia ID, as well as other content and tools designed to bring science closer to their visitors.<\/p>\n
Objectives<\/h3>\n
The bulk email campaigns they ran through other providers weren’t effective, and they had no guarantee that their communications were reaching the inbox correctly.<\/p>\n
All of this, combined with the fact that many servers flagged them as spam (even with double opt-in subscribers on those servers who had previously received the same type of communications) and the constant complaints from subscribers who said they weren’t receiving the emails in their inbox, led them to look for a new, more reliable provider for their bulk email campaigns.<\/p>\n
