{"id":110577,"date":"2026-10-28T09:04:06","date_gmt":"2026-10-28T09:04:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mailrelay.com\/glossary\/mdirector\/"},"modified":"2026-10-28T09:04:09","modified_gmt":"2026-10-28T09:04:09","slug":"mdirector","status":"publish","type":"glossary","link":"https:\/\/mailrelay.com\/en\/glossary\/mdirector\/","title":{"rendered":"MDirector"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">MDirector is a Spanish email marketing, SMS and automation platform that companies of all sizes use to send newsletters, campaigns and automated messages.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since July 2025 it has belonged to emBlue, a Latin American customer engagement company.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In this post we explain what it offers, how much it costs in 2026, what its users think and how it differs from Mailrelay.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is MDirector?<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is an online tool for creating, sending and measuring <a href=\"https:\/\/mailrelay.com\/en\/glossary\/email-marketing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">email marketing<\/a> and SMS campaigns from a single dashboard.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It also includes landing pages and automations.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It was born in Spain in 2007, within the Antevenio group, a Madrid-based digital marketing company.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In October 2008, according to PuroMarketing, Antevenio launched a second version under the name Marketing Director.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2016, the Italian group ISP took control of Antevenio. The group was later renamed ISPD.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Who owns MDirector?<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In July 2025, emBlue announced the purchase of MDirector from ISPD.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">emBlue is a customer engagement company founded in Latin America, with offices in the United States, Argentina, Mexico, Colombia and Peru.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With the deal, emBlue gained more than 1,200 customers in Spain, Italy and other European countries, according to Bondo Advisors, which advised on the sale.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The brand still operates as &#8220;MDirector by emBlue&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to its website, customers keep the same service, contract and terms. In Spain, billing remains with the same company.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The company has announced new features for the coming months: <a href=\"https:\/\/mailrelay.com\/en\/glossary\/whatsapp-marketing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WhatsApp<\/a> conversation management, AI-powered campaign improvements, a built-in <a href=\"https:\/\/mailrelay.com\/en\/glossary\/crm-customer-relationship-management\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CRM<\/a>, pop-up banners and push notifications.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It gives no specific dates.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is MDirector used for?<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is used to manage your communication with customers by email and SMS. Nor does it list SMS prices on the same page.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Two important details. Transactional sending via API and SMTP starts at MD PRO.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And the English version of its website shows different prices: \u20ac44.90, \u20ac74.90 and \u20ac249, with 60,000 emails. It&#8217;s worth checking the pricing for your country before signing up.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">MDirector&#8217;s free plan<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">MD FREE lets you send 5,000 emails a month to up to 5,000 contacts, with no daily limit.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It includes landing pages with up to 1,000 visits a month.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It doesn&#8217;t include automations, and its website doesn&#8217;t say what support it comes with.
