What is not a backlink?<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Backlinks are links from other websites that point to ours. It is important not to confuse them with internal links and external links.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Internal links are those that are used to link to different URLs within the same domain or web page. They make navigation easier and make up a site&#8217;s internal linking.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">External links are all those URLs that we include on our website and that direct users to another domain; we generally add external links to provide valuable information to visitors.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Types of backlinks<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There are several types of backlinks:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>&#8220;<em>Dofollow<\/em>&#8221; links: These are links that pass authority to the website they point to. They are the most beneficial links for our SEO ranking and the ones we most want to get. They are created by default; that is, every link is <em>Dofollow<\/em> by default unless we specify otherwise, which means they pass on <em>PageRank<\/em>. For instance: <code><a href=\"&#x201C;https:\/\/jcdaganzo.es&quot;&lt;encoded_tag_closed\">Mi blog&lt;\/a&gt;<\/a><\/code> There is no need to include rel=&#8221;dofollow&#8221; in the link.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&#8220;<em>Nofollow<\/em>&#8221; links: These are links that don&#8217;t pass authority to the destination site. They don&#8217;t directly benefit a website&#8217;s SEO, but they do help make a <em>linkbuilding<\/em> strategy look more natural. For instance: <code><a href=\"https:\/\/jcdaganzo.es\" rel=\"no follow\">Mi blog<\/a><\/code> You always need to include rel=&#8221;no follow&#8221; to indicate that it is a Nofollow link.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&#8220;<em>Sponsored<\/em>&#8221; links: The rel=&#8221;sponsored&#8221; tag is the one that should be used to label sponsored or paid links. In terms of SEO, if a link is detected to be a paid link and is not tagged correctly it can lead to SEO penalties. For instance: <code><a href=\"&#x201C;https:\/\/jcdaganzo.es&quot;\" rel=\"sponsored\">Link patrocinado al blog&lt;\/a&gt;<\/a><\/code><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&#8220;UGC&#8221; links: They are identified by the rel=&#8221;ugc&#8221; attribute and are used for links included on a website whose content is generated by the site&#8217;s own users, such as those left on forums and in blog comments. UGC is the acronym for User-Generated Content. For instance: <code><a href=\"&#x201C;https:\/\/jcdaganzo.es&quot;\" rel=\"ugc\">Link de un post en un foro&lt;\/a&gt;<\/a><\/code><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. Do backlinks help?<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Of course they do, and a lot: your organic SEO can&#8217;t be successful without backlinks. Some of the benefits of having backlinks are:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Improve your SEO ranking:<\/strong> undoubtedly the main reason to get them; they provide authority and boost your SEO ranking.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Increase web traffic:<\/strong> they bring traffic to our website, which will help us gain relevance in our industry and\/or monetize the backlink&#8217;s landing page.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4 . How to get backlinks?<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Getting backlinks is very easy; what isn&#8217;t easy is getting quality backlinks, which are the ones that are truly beneficial and the goal a proper linkbuilding strategy should aim for. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To get backlinks, keep these approaches in mind:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Quality content:<\/strong> Create high-value, quality articles on your blog; your readers will share the links with their contacts and on social media, or even mention them on their own blogs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Guest posts:<\/strong> Write articles and posts for other websites so that, with the site owner&#8217;s prior agreement, you can place some backlinks to your own website.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Press releases:<\/strong> write press releases that include a link you want to promote and distribute them to media outlets that might be interested; if they cover the story, they will very likely include the backlink you&#8217;re after.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/pacoruben.com\/comprar-enlaces\/\">Buy links for your website<\/a><\/strong>: One of the fastest methods if you know which media outlets you&#8217;d like to appear in. Many of them don&#8217;t accept news proposals, so you can ask about their prices and find the ones that suit you best. Our recommendation is to always check the DR (domain authority), and make sure the domain has more inbound than outbound links and gets traffic from its news articles, since this is what will give your website a boost; otherwise those links will be insignificant to Google, especially with all the AI updates, etc.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Help other websites:<\/strong> you can also get backlinks by helping other site administrators with their content or by promoting other people&#8217;s websites.
