But a lot changed in 2026: a smaller free plan, new names and higher prices.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Let&#8217;s look at what it offers today, how much it costs and what its users think. And when another option suits you better, such as Mailrelay, which still keeps its free account with 80,000 emails a month.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is MailerLite and what is it used for?<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">MailerLite was founded in Vilnius by Ignas Rube\u017eius and Eimantas Nork\u016bnas.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2022, the Polish group Vercom bought the company for around 90 million dollars. At the time, it had more than 1.4 million users in 180 countries.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It does the same job as any <a href=\"https:\/\/mailrelay.com\/en\/glossary\/email-marketing-tool\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">email marketing tool<\/a>: gathering your contacts, designing emails and sending them to your whole list or to part of it.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With it you can send a weekly <a href=\"https:\/\/mailrelay.com\/en\/glossary\/newsletter\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">newsletter<\/a>, launch a promotion or welcome each new subscriber.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since July 2023, the interface has been available in Spanish and support also answers in Spanish. It is a significant change: for years, MailerLite was only available in English.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What features does MailerLite have?<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">MailerLite has kept adding pieces until it became more than an email sending program. These are its main features:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Drag-and-drop editor<\/strong>, with an HTML editor and an image gallery.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Visual automations<\/strong> for welcome series, birthdays or <a href=\"https:\/\/mailrelay.com\/en\/glossary\/abandoned-cart-email\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">abandoned carts<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Forms and pop-ups<\/strong> to capture subscribers on your website.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Website and <a href=\"https:\/\/mailrelay.com\/en\/glossary\/landing-page\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">landing page<\/a> builder<\/strong>, with a blog included.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Digital product sales and bookings<\/strong>, with payments through Stripe.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Surveys, <a href=\"https:\/\/mailrelay.com\/en\/glossary\/a-b-testing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">A\/B tests<\/a><\/strong> and comparison reports.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>AI writing assistant<\/strong> on the paid plans.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For transactional emails, such as order confirmations or password resets, the same team has a separate product: MailerSend. It is purchased separately.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What does MailerLite integrate with?<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">MailerLite connects with the platforms small businesses use most. It has a <a href=\"https:\/\/mailrelay.com\/en\/glossary\/wordpress\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WordPress<\/a> plugin and integrates with WooCommerce, Shopify and PrestaShop to sync customers and purchases.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It also offers an API, <a href=\"https:\/\/mailrelay.com\/en\/glossary\/webhook\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">webhooks<\/a> and a Zapier connection to link it to your CRM or other apps. It even offers an MCP server to manage the account from AI assistants.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you work with WordPress, Mailrelay also has its own plugin, as well as a <a href=\"https:\/\/mailrelay.com\/en\/glossary\/api\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">REST API<\/a> and integrations with WooCommerce and Make.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How much does MailerLite cost in 2026?<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In June 2026, MailerLite changed its pricing. The paid plans are now called <strong>Comfort<\/strong> (formerly Growing Business) and <strong>Power<\/strong> (formerly Advanced). Prices went up in every tier.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The price depends on the number of subscribers. From 200,000 subscribers, the Enterprise plan is custom-priced.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What&#8217;s the difference between Comfort and Power? On Comfort you can send up to ten times your number of subscribers each month and have 50 active automations.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Power removes those limits, adds unlimited users and adds live chat to email support.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That said, the price increase is noticeable. According to EmailOctopus, the Power plan for 1,000 subscribers went from 30 to 39 dollars a month. That&#8217;s 108 dollars more a year.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What does MailerLite&#8217;s free plan include?<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">MailerLite&#8217;s free plan is what has changed the most. You can run A\/B tests and work with two users.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Newsletter templates are reserved for the paid plans. And personal support only lasts for the first 14 days. After that, you&#8217;re left with the knowledge base.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As you can see, it&#8217;s good for trying out the tool or for a small list. But it also has limitations worth knowing before you choose it.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Advantages:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Clean interface that is easy to learn, even if you&#8217;ve never sent a campaign.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Landing page and website builder included, even on the free plan.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It only counts active subscribers, not unsubscribed or bounced ones.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Interface and support in Spanish.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Disadvantages:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Free plan reduced to 250 subscribers and 2,500 sends.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No phone support on any plan, and personal support for only 14 days on the free account.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strict account review before you can send, which can delay your first campaign.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Transactional emails require another tool and another invoice.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">MailerLite: user reviews<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Reviews of MailerLite are generally positive when it comes to ease of use.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The review site EmailToolTester rates it 4.2 out of 5 and has named it the easiest tool to use every year from 2023 to 2026.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The criticisms come up again and again on three points. The first is the account approval process: some users wait days before they can send.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The second is the lack of advanced automation reports and of a built-in CRM. The third is that it offers no help migrating your data from another platform.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On top of this, there is now discontent over the 2026 price increase. Anyone who was using the free plan with 500 or 1,000 contacts has had to pay or look for another tool.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How is MailerLite different from Mailrelay?<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Both are complete email marketing platforms. Also if your list is small and you don&#8217;t mind paying once it grows.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mailrelay suits you if your list already exceeds a few hundred contacts and you want to keep using it for free.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Or if you value being able to call a real person on the phone when something goes wrong.
