Today, we’ll see how to add subscription forms generated by Mailrelay using some of the most popular WordPress plugins like Bloom, SumoMe and Thrive Leads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These plugins allow us to create different types of forms in our site and configure their appearance depending on the page type, user behavior on the Website and many other options that will vary slightly from one plugin to another.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this tutorial,<\/a> we have already seen how to create the forms and get the HTML code, so if you have not yet copied the code generated by our software, please check the other post before continuing to read this article.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please keep the HTML in a file on your computer or open your Mailrelay account to copy it as we will use it soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

1- Integrating the Mailrelay form with Bloom<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Bloom<\/a> is one of the most popular plugins for creating subscription forms for several years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It allows us to create inline forms, pop-ups, fly-ins, articles or insert them in any widget area of our template.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It also allows us to indicate in what kind of page or post it should be displayed, and when (after a few seconds, after scrolling, after a purchase, ETC).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bloom also has predefined templates, although in this case, we will add our own HTML code manually, and that’s what we’ll see now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After installing the plugin, we can find it in the menu on the left, on Bloom> Optin Forms. Click this option to create or edit existing forms:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If we choose to create a new one (NEW OPTIN)<\/strong>, the first thing we should do is to select the type of form that we want to create:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Depending on the type of form selected, we will see different configuration options. However, the form creation process will be the same, so you don’t have to worry about it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first field we have to fill in is the form name (for internal use only, it will not be displayed to our visitors) and the email marketing service we want to use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this case, we will have to select Custom HTML Form, and the plugin will display a field where we can copy the HTML code generated by Mailrelay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After pasting the code, click NEXT: DESIGN YOUR OPTIN<\/strong> and we can choose a template for the form.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this case, as we are working with HTML code, it will not always be adjusted to the design chosen for the number of fields and options on our form, so I recommend choosing a simple one that will be  easier to adjust. In any case, we can customize colors and formats later, regardless of the template selected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the next screen, you can add title and subtitle, customize fonts and colors, load an image and set other visual aspects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At any time, we can preview our work to make sure we’re doing things right.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is possible that some of the color or format options will not work correctly. If this happens, you will have to edit the HTML minimally or add CSS on the Bloom design customization screen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, the Display Settings tab will allow us to configure when and where we want the form to appear. These options will vary depending on the type of form we are using.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We can create multiple forms with different styles and configurations. We can also get reports on the performance of the forms to update our email marketing strategy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bloom is a paid plugin created by Elegantthemes with several plans, and it includes other plugins and templates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2- Integrate the Mailrelay form in SumoMe<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

SumoMe<\/a>\u00a0is another classic plugin for creating subscription forms. Among other things, it also has the advantage of offering a free option that will be enough for what we are going to see today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The plugin is available in the WordPress repository, but after installing it, we will need to create an account that will be linked to our website. To create forms, we are going to use an external control panel with several advanced options. This plugin is very interesting, but some features are only available for paid accounts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the control panel of the plugin, in the Forms tab, we will find the button to create a new one and the system will open a wizard to prepare it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the options on the left, in section 1. My goal<\/strong>, we should mark the third option to be able to use our HTML code<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the rest of the tabs, we can choose the other options for our form, such as the form type, when it should be displayed, and the redirect URL.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In point 6. Connect to email service;<\/strong> we should not choose any option, since we will use a custom HTML code created by Mailrelay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once configured and published, we can see the form in our website, according to the selected options, and we will have access to Visualization and conversion analytics reports generated by the plugin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SumoMe is a very complete option, and we can work with the free version for creating opt-in forms on WordPress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3- Integrating Mailrelay with Thrive Leads<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Thrive Leads <\/a>is another very interesting plugin with many options for creating opt-in forms. It is a paid plugin, with no free option available, and you will have to buy and download it from the plugin’s website. It has a single price with several packages according to the number of licenses you need to purchase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After installing the plugin, we can access it on Thrive Dashboard> Thrive Leads to create and configure our subscription forms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first thing we have to do is create a Lead group, which is nothing more than a set of forms that share the same options (on which pages or posts the form should be displayed, if the forms will be active only for desktops or also for mobile devices, etc.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After you create a group with a descriptive internal name to organize your groups and forms; you can create a new type of form: In Content, Lightbox, Post footer, Ribbon, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After that, click on: Add form<\/strong> to create a form with the selected option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That is, the sketch of the forms in Thrive Leads<\/strong> would be:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can have different form types in the same group (pop-up, within the content, for widgets, etc.). And for each type, you can use different forms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although this structure may initially seem a bit confusing, the truth is that it allows you to create different combinations of groups and types of forms for different campaigns or goals and allows you to create A\/B tests to compare the conversion rate of various forms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once the form has been created, we can edit the design to include the HTML code generated by Mailrelay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To do that, we will have to select the “Blank”<\/strong> template to access the Thrive Leads wizard:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now we just have to click on the configuration wheel in the bar to the right of the browser and select Advanced Settings -> View Page Source (HTML).<\/strong> This will open a window with an HTML code that we will have to delete since we will replace it with the one created by Mailrelay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We can validate changes on the top right corner. After that, we have to save the changes to leave the wizard and return to the Thrive Leads desktop to enable the new opt-in form and choose the display options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is all we have to do to set up the Mailrelay form with Thrive Leads.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
