About Unidos por Honduras (UPH)
Founded on June 24, 2003, Unidos por Honduras (UPH) is an institution of business owners supporting young people who have just finished secondary school so they can continue their university studies. In 2015, Unidos por Honduras awarded L.10,000,000.00 in half-scholarships that could be used at any of UPH’s campuses in Honduras.
At every UPH Campus, there is a service office to issue certificates to those who don’t have one yet and to help with enrollment procedures.
Empowering education is the core value of this non-profit organization, which grows every year both in the number of students who benefit from these scholarships and in the budget allocated to award them.
Their outstanding social work has made them a benchmark within Honduras and Latin America, and their goal for the coming years is focused on increasing the amount of the scholarships available to students.
Goals of Unidos por Honduras (UPH)
The client used their own newsletter sending system, which relied on a set of applications that had to be installed on every computer from which they wanted to send out communications. On top of that inconvenience, it didn’t allow them to effectively track the campaigns sent, since it had no way to generate statistics reports.
On top of that, they had a significant limitation when it came to bulk email sending capacity, since it wasn’t able to successfully process sends of more than 250,000 emails per day.
That’s why Unidos por Honduras mainly needed to avoid these drawbacks, and in doing so, they would also solve other, smaller issues that were just as vital for sending out their communications with guaranteed success.
Actions Taken
Mailrelay’s team trained them not only in how to use the tool, but in every aspect involved in properly running bulk email sending campaigns: from correctly configuring the sender domain, to correctly interpreting how their list subscribers interact when they receive communications, to the right way to send large volumes of email without it becoming a burden on their organization’s infrastructure.
The support department has maintained smooth communication with UPH’s technicians to help them become self-sufficient and get the most out of every subscriber they manage.
