About Tucumán Turismo

It is a government organization whose goal is to promote awareness of the province of Tucumán, encouraging and promoting tourism in the province.

Tucumán is synonymous with history. It is independence. It is small in size but great in spirit. It is a must-visit destination for anyone who wants to immerse themselves in the roots of a rich country. It is green, it is peace. It is the garden of the Republic, and there are plenty of reasons why.

It is the smallest province in Argentina. Its capital is San Miguel de Tucumán, where all the essential ingredients come together to make this city a delight to explore: the friendliness of its people, history and architecture that can be felt in every building, closeness to the hills, and a warmth you can sense on every stroll. The city is calm and peaceful; the busiest times are in the morning or afternoon, since San Miguel has a distinctive trademark: the siesta.

Anyone who visits Tucumán will soak up the adventurous spirit of each of the sports and recreational activities you can do among its valleys, rivers, ravines, lagoons, and hills.

Objectives

Without a doubt, the client’s main goal was to migrate their mass mailing program from MailChimp to Mailrelay quickly and easily, in order to have a sending system that matched their needs — which, as is usually the case, rested on these three pillars: greater sending capacity for the same cost, specialized technical support in Spanish, and improved delivery rates.

Aware that every day a multitude of clients try Mailrelay after coming from MailChimp, we have developed several features so that, for example, the process of importing contacts from that provider is simple, and we are working hard to also make it possible to directly migrate campaigns created in MailChimp with just a couple of mouse clicks (coming soon).

Actions Taken

One of the aspects our users highlight most on their social media once again proves especially relevant for this client: personalized support and follow-up on the steps the client needs to take so that their migration is successful and, on the very same day they create their account, they can start managing it turnkey.

With their help, after the first sending tests and a few minimal adjustments — basic recommendations provided by our technical staff — Tucumán Turismo managed to complete a successful migration from MailChimp. These steps were carried out both via email and through our direct phone support service.

Migration Results

Tucumán Turismo has achieved better deliverability (notably, fewer messages flagged as spam) and better open rates compared to their previous email marketing provider (MailChimp).

Our deliverability expert consultants, who provide support at no cost to both free and paid accounts, together with the great work of the Tucumán Turismo team, put the client’s email marketing communications in the best possible position to successfully reach their subscribers’ inboxes, leaving behind spam problems, delivery delays, and blocks at Hotmail.

As a result, the health of the client’s sends (newsletters and announcements related to tourism) has been strong from the very first moment, and will remain so for as long as the client keeps up these good practices.

At the same time, in the client’s own words, they have also achieved: “Mainly, knowing that we’re reaching the number of people we want to reach. Secondly, being able to see the statistics and bounces helps us improve our database and keep it up to date”.

“The service is excellent, and having immediate support whenever you need it is essential. That helped us streamline our work and reach our goal. It’s easy to use and to create newsletters, as well as to manage contact lists. It’s very useful”.
