  • Free creation of a custom newsletter design featuring the branding of the Senate and its website.

About the Senate of Colombia

The mission of the Senate of the Republic of Colombia is to represent the Colombian people by carrying out its constitutional and legal duties, in order to promote the common good and the development of society. It also aims to be recognized by society as a transparent, efficient institution that plays a decisive role in building peace, guided by the values of Tolerance, Respect, Honesty, Commitment and Service.

The Congress currently has 102 senators, including two Indigenous senators. It has 7 Committees. The largest is the First Committee, with 19 senators. The smallest are the Fifth and the Second, with thirteen members each. It also has 6 special committees: Human Rights and Hearings, Ethics and Congressional Statute, Oversight of Public Control Bodies, Electoral Body, Special Oversight of Decentralization and Territorial Planning, as well as four ad hoc committees.

Objectives

The Colombian Senate needed a reliable email marketing tool that was also secure for sending its internal communications. They also needed a provider that could offer personalized support, monitor the deliverability of their sends and make sure they were not blocked, since their emails were sometimes flagged as spam due to their particular nature.

Actions Taken

From day one, they were assigned a dedicated consultant who is an email marketing expert and who created a custom design for the Senate of Colombia free of charge.

We built a monitoring system for their sending IP that changes it whenever it ends up on a blacklist.

“We use Mailrelay with very good open rates and full visibility into who views and clicks on our communications.”
