Objectives

LibreriadelaU’s arrival stems from the need to have full control over the activity that each and every one of its subscribers shows toward the newsletters, as well as to clean up its database (since, over the years, some subscribers had abandoned the email address they used to receive the newsletters). They previously used their own bulk email sending system developed in PHP, which worked well for a while, but then fell behind in security, performance, and some third-party policies that affected the system.

On top of that, there was also the need for a reliable and fast bulk email sending engine via SMTP. With their previous bulk system, sends took many hours to reach subscribers (several hundred thousand subscribers from all over the world); with Mailrelay, the newsletter reaches all of them within minutes.

Actions Taken

Mailrelay guided them so that their newsletters would not only offer an attractive design but would also pass every antispam filter, an essential step for landing directly in recipients’ inboxes. This was achieved after analyzing factors such as the correct configuration of sender domains, how antispam filters behaved toward their newsletters, improving their sending reputation, etc., and fixing the defects detected.

Now, LibreriadelaU has the tools it needs to segment, clean up, and make the most of its databases, and each of its bulk email sends contributes to keeping the health of its subscriber lists excellent.

Results
