About Colecta Solidaria Perú

Colecta Solidaria Perú is a wonderful initiative with a single purpose: bringing a beautiful Christmas to those who have the least in Peru’s interior regions. Their challenge is to reach remote, forgotten villages where Christmas is just another night, and bring them hope along with a smile.

The initiative began in 2011, and every year they have expanded their efforts thanks to the support of everyone who believes in it — people who also feel connected to their fellow citizens fighting every day to get ahead in extreme places battered by nature.

Bulk email sending goals

The search for a reliable, effective system to communicate with their collaborators and grow their collaborator database in order to secure more donations.

They also needed to send personalized emails so subscribers would feel more receptive to opening them, as well as ensure every send reached its destination just minutes after being sent — whether scheduled for a specific date and time or sent immediately.

Saving time was one of their top priorities, since until then the way they sent their email marketing campaigns wasn’t optimal and took days. Saving time and reaching everyone was vital.

Before trusting Mailrelay, the way they sent their communications was quite rudimentary, as the initiative’s founder tells us: “We sent them one by one, it took us a long time, and we often forgot people we meant to invite.”

Steps taken to improve bulk email sending

Their database was monitored and cleaned, reducing bounces and spam complaints by up to 99%. This has let them build a very strong sender and domain reputation, which means that every time they run an email marketing campaign, its success is practically guaranteed.
