About Best Relations
Best Relations is an award-winning Communication and Social Media consultancy founded in 1998. They offer strategic communication and public relations plans covering different areas of activity:
– Online and offline communication: press office, content creation, social media (strategic consulting, community management and engagement, and platform development), and events.
– Corporate and internal communication.
– Research and analysis: audits, social media management, monitoring, reputation reports, alerts, crisis detection, and clipping reports.
– Social media and communication training programs, both in-house and tailored to different sectors.
– Programming and design: web development, graphic design, and content production and editing.
It has also received numerous awards and recognitions for its communication work, including the European Excellence Award 2009, the Publifestival Platinum Award 2010, the Sabre Award Certificate 2010, and Best Communication Agency, Los Mejores de PR (PR Noticias) 2012, among others.
Objectives
Best Relations’ primary objectives didn’t differ much from what most companies running email marketing through their own email infrastructure are looking for: improving the workflow by having the sending workload handled directly on Mailrelay‘s servers, which frees up their IT infrastructure from the bandwidth and processor cycles that this type of sending requires. To get better features than those offered by their email client, as well as avoid the slow, laborious process of sending directly from a conventional email manager, since even task automation with that client didn’t yield good results either.
Finally, a drastic reduction in email bounces and a system with everything needed to comply with current legislation.
Actions Taken
Since Best Relations already had staff qualified in email marketing and 2.0 communication, as would be expected from a communication and social media agency, special emphasis was placed on demonstrating how to handle all the possibilities Mailrelay offers to advanced email marketing users.
Personalized support was provided so the client could start using the service almost immediately and as effectively as possible, including the correct use of newsletter optimization tools, statistics interpretation, and proper database segmentation, which helped their sends achieve better deliverability and, therefore, better results across all their email communications.
Result
Now we can better tailor the format of our sends and optimize the design so they’re received and read in the best possible way, no matter the platform or device they’re opened on.
We’ve also reduced the size of our sends and minimized the problems that always arise with the security systems that emails have to get past. We’ve freed up the load on our own servers and, in addition, we’re able to do a better job of maintaining our contacts, as well as tracking our email marketing actions thanks to the analytics systems that Mailrelay provides us.
Whenever we’ve needed to clarify questions or adjust aspects of the service, we’ve been attended to right away with the solution that best suited our needs — support that is, above all, close and fully personalized.
“We started using Mailrelay in early 2012 as part of an internal communication project, and after seeing how solid it was and the good results it gave us, including its design options, we ended up expanding its use to media communications and commercial actions. To date, we haven’t had a single problem, even with occasional sends of thousands of messages in a single day.”
