Visual marketing

What is visual marketing?

Visual marketing is a strategy that uses visual elements to communicate or promote a brand, its products, or services. In other words, it’s the process of using photos, videos, and other visual elements to add value to a product, service, or brand.

The goal of visual marketing is to connect marketing messages with images—such as photos, graphics, videos, infographics, or pictograms. It mainly aims to draw the audience’s attention to the visual elements of advertising, giving them priority, since human nature makes us respond better to non-verbal communication.

1. Elements of visual marketing

A visual marketing strategy can use a variety of graphic elements that go beyond a simple video or striking image. Some of the most commonly used elements in visual marketing are:

  • Screenshots.
  • Photographs.
  • Animated gifs.
  • Graphics.
  • Illustrations.
  • Images.

For example, years ago, memes weren’t widely used, but now they’ve become a common part of visual marketing.
