About AICO Ibero-American Association of Chambers of Commerce

The Ibero-American Association of Chambers of Commerce (AICO) is a private, non-governmental, collective and voluntary non-profit international body that brings together and represents the main chambers of commerce, associations, corporations and related entities that speak Spanish or Portuguese.
It is made up of 23 countries from Latin America, the Caribbean, the Iberian Peninsula and the Hispanic and Portuguese communities of the United States.

This association works for the benefit of Ibero-American chambers and entrepreneurs, seeking their growth and development, providing a quality service by listening to their demands and needs and presenting them to the relevant authorities to solve their problems.

Its purpose is to be a bridge linking the sectors of society toward a new business culture, not only providing wealth and employment, but also playing a key role in raising the standard of living of the Ibero-American peoples.

Goals for their bulk email

This organization – (AICO) Ibero-American Association of Chambers of Commerce – started using Mailrelay to send email communications to its entire database without having to split the full list into 5 sub-lists, since its mail server had limitations on the simultaneous output of bulk email sends, which meant having to send the same newsletter 5 times instead of in a single send.

This meant the time needed to send their campaigns was really very high, and they also had no kind of report that would let them quantify the effectiveness of their sends, so they could not gauge the interest and reception their mailing campaigns had.

Once again, using a sending system not prepared to send large volumes of emails per hour proves to be a drawback when planning and sending email marketing campaigns.

Actions taken to improve bulk email sending

Mailrelay’s support service and technical staff closely monitored all the initial email marketing actions carried out by the client, in order to adapt the working method the client had used in the past to the current ways of working, and thereby not only make their sends capable of getting past current anti-spam systems, but also make them appealing to their recipients.

In addition to adjusting them to avoid landing in spam folders, they were shown how to create newsletters and put together effective communications with appealing content, giving them a more elegant look and considerably increasing results (opens, views, responses received, etc.).

Results

The email communications of (AICO) Ibero-American Association of Chambers of Commerce, through the use of Mailrelay, have become a valuable tool for keeping their members informed of all the latest news without the slightest inconvenience, and their sends are not classified as spam. They have also freed up their network infrastructure from the costs generated by sending bulk emails, since those tasks now fall on Mailrelay’s servers and infrastructure.

As the client states: “We can personalize the messages, we use the email templates Mailrelay offers us or we can create our own, it’s free (since we are a non-profit association), and to inform our members we don’t need to send to millions of accounts. It tells us whether the email arrived, whether they read it and interacted with it.”

“Using Mailrelay has brought about a major improvement in the communications we carry out through bulk email with all our members, both through the simple personalization and authorization routines and through the detailed reports generated for each of the sends we make.

Not to mention one of the most important improvements: saving time when sending emails. The service is excellent! Congratulations and thank you very much for your follow-up and support”.
