What is Photoshop?

Adobe Photoshop is an image editing and graphic design application developed by Adobe Systems.

It is widely recognized as the leading digital image editing software, used by professionals and hobbyists to edit photos, create graphics and designs.

Created in 1987 by Thomas and John Knoll, Adobe Photoshop has undergone numerous updates and enhancements since its initial release in 1988.
